NuLife Care & Counselling H.O.P.E. (Hold On. Pain Ends.) Online Wellness Series

An extension of our U Matter Initiative, U W.O.W. (Wheel of Wellness) was introduced as a NuLife Programme in 2019 to explore and generate avenues for the cultivation of mind-body-spirit wellness amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. It adopts self-care as the cornerstone of the healing journey and promotes holistic wellness through routines that focusses on exercises, techniques and skills devised through well-intended collaborations with various Wellness Professionals.

The previous COVID-19 restrictions prevented us from conducting the programme in a face-to-face format and we believed that an online platform would allow us to expand the number of participants who could benefit from the programme. As such, NuLife workied in collaboration with Physio Asia Therapy Centre to deliver our very first, H.O.P.E. Online Wellness Series from 9th September 2021 to 28th October 2021. The series comprised of 8 distinct workshops that were held on Thursday nights, from 7pm to 8pm and aimed to make avail a set of wellness routines, techniques and exercises to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic period. This wellness initiative was supported by the North East Community Development Council.

Thank you to everyone who showed their support and attended this initiative. We hope you found the lessons fruitful and have been able to use the exercises shared with you in your daily routine.

NuLife cum Sirpigal Mandram Bilingual Webinar: Coping with the loss of a Loved One

Workshop Details:

Date:               Thursday, July 29, 2021

Time:              8 pm – 9 pm

Venue:            Zoom

“There is no right or wrong in grief; we need to accept whatever form it takes, both in ourselves and in others”.

The human lifecycle tends to unfold in stages tinged by personal and unique experiences to each one. While we are unconsciously aware that the human lifecycle is finite, we are consciously never prepared to deal with its aftermath: grief, the natural reaction to the loss of a loved one.

Grief & Loss, be it experienced by oneself or be it experienced by a loved one, is a painful process and relatively few of us know how to help ourselves or know what to say or do that can be truly helpful to those who are grieving.

In this webinar, we shared some insights into the types of grief, some of the identifiable signs and symptoms, some of the common myths and misconceptions, how you can help yourself or a loved one in need of help and the different resources available in the community for one to seek support from during this journey.

It is pertinent that grief and loss is recognised as a universal experience. We hope that this webinar managed to enlighten the community and cultivate an all-embracing culture in addressing and navigating grief and loss. Grief is not a problem to be solved, rather it is a process to be tended and lived through in whatever form and however long it may take.
