Whether by the philosopher Aristotle, who spoke those lines 2300 years ago or by the 20th century author Kahlil Gibran, the message is always the same – that it is in giving that we get, and it is in honouring that we are honoured. There are many ways you can give of yourself and your time to volunteer and lend a helping hand. No matter what your experience or your background, we welcome you to our NuLife family. Like any family, we need your support and an earnest heart that seeks to uplift, empower and boost another whose needs and challenges are greater than he/she can cope with at that point in his/her life.
Encourage synergies to build communities through sharing: optimise each volunteer’s unique knowledge, talent and passion for change to make a direct and positive impact and further NuLife’s vision to value each individual and assist him in the most caring, professional manner possible and pay it forward.
As NuLife Ambassadors, you will support the following programmes:
As NuLife Champions (qualified Counsellors, accredited Social Workers, Clinical Psychologists, Lawyers, Doctors, Accountants), you will supplement client outreach and strengthen the support provided by NuLife counselling and casework. Your professional skills as a lawyer, accountant or medical professional will add value to the breadth of support we hope to give our clients.
You will help ensure client well-being isn’t compromised as they struggle with physical and mental health and wellness issues or deal with the challenges posed by multiple stressors affecting us as a society and leading to anxiety, depression and other mental disorders that could increase the risk of suicide ideation.
As NuLife Honeykidz, you will help spread the NuLife message and support NuLife Ambassadors in their volunteering roles.
If you are 16 or under you must have permission to volunteer from your parent or guardian.
We look forward to your help in existing programmes and activities or we welcome any ideas you may have to initiate new and meaningful projects that tap on your expertise or network of contacts. We are always looking for ways to enhance the quality of our beneficiaries’ lives.
Through our volunteer programme, you can meet people and widen your network of social and professional contacts. You can also avail yourself to the opportunities to learn new skills, have novel experiences or simply, improve your CV. And for those whose lives have been touched by the spirit of giving, becoming a volunteer is also a great way to embark on a career in social service.
Whatever the way you want to contribute, we invite you to complete the form and send it back to us or drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 63008706.
