In many cultures, festivities have been well-known as a time of gathering with loved ones and feasting on scrumptious food and goodies made specially for the occasion. Hence, to share the spirit of the festive season, NuLife organised the distribution of 50 festive cookie platters that were handmade and baked in kind by Ms S Chandrakala, who leads a home-based business, LuizBakez.

The festive cookie platter encompassed an array of delectable and colourful goodies that was apportioned to 35 NuLife Counsellors, comprising of our in-house counsellors, intern counsellors and locum counsellors in appreciation of their unwavering efforts in rendering all-round assistance and support to beneficiaries that reached out to us to cope with wellness-related concerns during the pandemic period. The baked goodies were timely distributed to the professionals on 28th October and 29th October 2021, with the aid of ECC SG, a group of car enthusiasts who are vested in giving back to the community in times of need.

Our recipients were thankful for the festive goodies that were well-preserved and intact upon delivery, enabling them to enjoy the fresh and savoury treats with their loved ones at home.

15 festive cookie platters were distributed to our collaborating partner, Morning Star Community Services on 30th October 2021, a registered Charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC) that strives to empower individuals and families and build vibrant communities through the provision of after-school care and temporary caregiving services for parents and the provision of early intervention programmes, family life education workshops and counselling services.

NuLife is ever grateful to have the opportunity to actualise such meaningful initiatives from the community during these trying times.

As adverse as the circumstances may be, it is important that we work towards embracing resiliency and positivity, which is believed to be emerging in the form of restored community spirit.
